DE2 Carbide Dead Center MT2
The DZ Brand dead centers offered here are simple units with no moving parts and the standard 60 degree tapered point. Unlike a live center that is made to spin with the turning action of a lathe, dead centers remain stationary. Their only job is to provide resistance needed to hold your work piece securely in place. They are most commonly employed when doing heavy, slow RPM milling and, after a time, they will show the effects of the heat and friction to which they are exposed. At this point, they should either be reshaped or replaced.
